Fellow Veterans and Active Duty Servicemembers,
The campaign has been running on all cylinders since our last update. We are constructing signs, increasing grassroots activity, and developing community relationships countywide. In the past week, I have attended events in places such as University Place, DuPont, Eatonville, Gig Harbor, and more.
But no matter where I go, I consistently hear the same concerns from both our active duty and retired servicemembers: we need more jobs, we need more roads, and we need them now. In Olympia, I fought to create incentives for businesses to hire veterans and to pass a transportation infrastructure package. And as your executive, I will work to cut through the bureaucracy that keeps local businesses from expanding and leaves too many of our roads in disrepair. I have shown we can work together to get things accomplished for the entire state - now it’s time to leverage that experience and get them done right here in our county.
