Integrity, accountability and transparency are critical in government, and I pledge to bring that focus to Olympia. Furthermore, people are tired of having their taxes raised. We need to re-evaluate existing spending and come up with better answers. We need real solutions to difficult problems – not more partisan bickering. EDUCATION: I firmly believe that public education is foundational to our community and country. An educated citizenry is critical to a successful democracy, where the power lies with the people and their vote. Education has always been key to a better life in the United States. TRANSPORTATION: In the face of our State’s largest tax increase, resulting in one of the highest gas tax rates in the nation, we still struggle with transportations issues – mostly due to political agendas.
